At AdEstate Costa Rica we respect the privacy of visitors to adestatecr.com and of our clients. This policy explains what personal data we collect, what we use it for and how to exercise your rights over it, in accordance with Costa Rica’s Law No. 8968, the Law on the Protection of Individuals with Regard to the Processing of their Personal Data.
1. Data controller
The controller of the data is AdEstate Costa Rica. Contact: info@adestatecr.com or WhatsApp +506 6116-9561.
2. Data we collect
- Contact data: name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, company and the content of messages, when someone writes to us, books a call, subscribes to our newsletter or hires a service.
- Data needed to provide the service: information and photos of the properties or units, billing details and the information needed to set up and measure the campaigns.
- Browsing data: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited and similar data collected by cookies and measurement tools.
3. What we use the data for
- Answering inquiries and booking calls.
- Providing the services hired: content production, Meta campaigns, individual web pages for each property or unit in broker mode, and reports.
- Billing and meeting legal and tax obligations.
- Sending our newsletter to those who subscribe. Anyone can unsubscribe with the link included in every email.
- Measuring and improving the site and our advertising.
4. Cookies and measurement tools
The site uses cookies and tools such as the Meta pixel, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Microsoft Clarity to measure visits, understand how the site is used and measure the performance of our ads. Microsoft Clarity anonymously records how the site is browsed (clicks, scrolling and cursor movements) to help us improve it. Cookies can be blocked or deleted in your browser settings; some features of the site may stop working.
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with providers that help us operate and that handle it under their own privacy policies: Meta (Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp), Google, Microsoft, Calendly, Mailchimp, our hosting provider and its content delivery network, and the professionals who produce our clients’ content. We may also share it when required by law or by a competent authority. Some of these providers process data outside Costa Rica.
6. Broker mode pages
The individual web pages for each property or unit in broker mode publish the property information and photos that the client approves. They do not show contact details. The map shows the area, not the real location, and the exact address is never shown.
7. Retention
We keep data for as long as the business relationship or the conversation lasts, and afterwards for as long as the law requires. We then delete or anonymize it.
8. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data against loss, unauthorized access or misuse. No system on the internet is completely secure, but we work to reduce the risks.
9. Rights over your data
Anyone can request access to their data, its correction or update, or its deletion, object to its use or withdraw their consent by writing to info@adestatecr.com. We respond within the time limits set by law.
10. Minors
Our services are aimed at real estate professionals and companies. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The current version is always published on this page with its update date.
